Maybe there are reasons I am not seeing, but it seems MS intentionally makes moving to a newer OS difficult by needlessly changing things. I had to spend hours rebuilding my playlists. Got that resolved, then tried to move my music in to Windows Media Player. It insisted on using my MS sign-in (so all my contact and settings were lost. The joy in finding that email program soon vanished when I tried to use Skype. Also it imported my address book and email account details.

I don't know if it is inappropriate to mention others software, but I did find a solution to my question above - it is called OE Classic. I'll be the first to complain now when MS is mentioned. MS ignored desktop users (with 8.0 and 8.1), and then they ignored long time home email users (by scrapping OE). I guess I'll have to research other email options for use on this Win 10 computer - any suggestions? This computer with Win 10 is still too new to scrap (it has an i7 processor). But meanwhile I had heard that Outlook Express was abandoned, but I never had the time to sort it out, so I stayed with my XP.
